Competency
- Prepare and approve the Integrated Management Plan of Watershed Resources - PLAMIRH;
- Perform studies, disclose and debate programs to create works and projects performed on Watersheds;
- Prepare and keep records of water users;
- Propose the creation of a Water Agency to CERH;
- Promote co-participation among water resource users;
- Submit to CERH the PLAMIRH, consider the quality and quantity aspects included in the State Water Resource plan;
- Coordinate required activities for controlling flooding;
- Monitor the execution of works and projects of any kind for watersheds;
- Promote the harmonization of PLAMIRH;
- Administrate PLAMIRH, so they can lead environmental permit entities;
- Manage financial and technological resources jointly with public and private entities for executing the Management Plan;
- Propose the appeal to CERH of values to improve watershed usage;
- Evaluate and deliver advice on investment programs for services and worksites;
- Propose competent entities to reformulate the classification of bodies of water;
- Supply subsidies for preparing a report on the status of water resources;
- Request technical support from member bodies of the national water resource management system when necessary;
- Promote the publication and disclosure of identified problems;
- Promote preventive and corrective measures in critical situations, as well as making judicial, penal, and civil natural persons or legal entities liable who have caused pollution/contamination of the soil and water;
- Discuss relevant topics in public meetings;
- Express opinions on the submitted subjects.
